GIFT GIVING IN FACE OF COVID-19

During the covid-19 pandemic, have you thought about giving a gift to someone? Have you given or received a gift?

Mission of the project

We are a research team from the University of Stirling (UK) and the University of Minho (Portugal) seeking to understand how people engage in gift giving during the exceptional circumstances that we are experiencing during the current pandemic. Anyone 18 years old or over years, who has given or received a gift, or tried to do so, is welcome in this research.

This is an academic study. It is not for profit and our aims are to develop insights about gift giving in times of crisis and to produce knowledge of benefit to society.

Would you like to take part in this study? We would love to hear your stories! We would like to invite you to select the option that works best for you:

OPTION 1: interview (phone, video conference or face-to-face if you prefer).

OPTION 2: writing a single story (complete an online form). You could submit as many stories as you want.

See more about these options below and choose the one that suits you better. Whichever option you choose, your views will be extremely important for us to understand gift giving in a context different from the one we were used to.

THANK YOU!

Ines and Teresa

OPTION 1: Participate in an interview (phone, video conference of face-to-face if you prefer)

If you would like to take part in a short interview and share your experiences of giving or receiving gifts, since the start of the pandemic, we would love to hear from you. In this case, please click on the link below to arrange an interview:

OPTION 2: Writing a single gift story

If you prefer to report a single story about gift giving that has happened to you since the start of the pandemic, we would love to read it.
